What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Accounts

When a visitor creates an account or a customer places an order in our store and an account is created for them, their personal details are stored in our system in order to create and administer the account, and provide access to any digital products that have been purchased.

At no point do we store or process credit card details on our servers, this is all handled by our payment gateway provider (Stripe) who is PCI DSS approved.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Once submitted and verified as genuine your name, comment and profile picture will be visible to the public.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Any media you choose to upload to our website becomes property of RKEP. By uploading media to our website you grant us the unrestricted right to display and use the media as we see fit.

Contact forms

When visitors complete the contact form on the website we collect the data entered into the form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

This information is then transmitted via email to our team in order to respond to your query.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We use the third party analytics tools from Fathom Analytics, a world leader in GDPR compliant, non-invasive analytics. Anonymous browsing statistics are generated and collected by Fathom in order to display aggregated data to us, such as average session time and most popular pages. You can view the Fathom Privacy Policy for more details.

Who we share your data with

We do not and will not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share your details with our partners when it is appropriate to do so in order to complete an order as detailed in the section “Where We Send Your Data”, however this will only be done when it is absolutely necessary to complete your order.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments and product reviews may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

When creating an account your details are also synchronised securely with the third party MailPoet in order to administer our mailing lists and manage who does and does not subscribe to our emails. MailPoet will store and process your data in accordance with the MailPoet Privacy Policy.

Our payment provider is Stripe and they will deal with all card transactions in order to comply with PCI DSS standards. No payment information is processed or stored on our servers. Stripe processes and stores payment details in accordance with the Stripe Privacy Policy.

When purchasing a training plan, your account details will be shared with our partner Trainerize in order to create your account on the training platform. This platform is used to deliver your training program and track your progress. Trainerize will store and process your data in accordance with the Trainerize Privacy Policy.

Your contact information

The contact information you provide us will be used to process your order and stored in your user profile in our store. This information can be accessed and updated by you at any time by selecting the “Account Details” option once logged in to your account.
